This body of work is a product of my daily walks through the woods near my home in Connecticut where I find fallen and decaying trees.  I am drawn to their imperfections, irregular patterns, and textures.   The trees I photograph are in various stages of distress or decay and bear the marks made by invasive vines, insect infestation, age, or other environmental forces that threaten their health. With this work, I explore the delicate balance between fragility and resilience, expressing nature’s transformative power and reflecting on cycles of life, death, and renewal.
